New Chief Operating Officer for Health Shared Services BC
Mr. Jim Eckler will assume the position of Chief Operating Officer for HSSBC effective October 3, 2011. The appointment concludes an executive search that has been underway for the last few months.
Mr. Eckler has a wealth of experience with over 30 years of leadership success as a CEO and management consultant in the supply chain management field. He also has extensive experience in corporate development, business transformation, Mergers & Acquisition, labour relations, and change management. Jim's healthcare experience ranges from being a shared services provider and advisor to serving as a hospital board director.
As HSSBC’s new COO, Jim will continue the creation of a best-in-class shared services organization that contributes to preserving and improving British Columbia’s health care system by increasing efficiency and effectiveness and generates savings to be directed to front line clinical services. He will lead delivery of current services that include Supply Chain, Technology Services, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Records and Benefits as well as HSSBC’s expansion into new services.
Doug Kent, HSSBC’s vice president Supply Chain, will continue to act as COO until October 3, 2011.
