Health Shared Services BC Physician Participation

 

Health Shared Services BC is now responsible for all purchasing, inventory, warehousing and delivery functions for BC’s six health authorities. The Supply Chain process includes creating a request for supplies, submitting the order to a supplier/distributor, receiving the product at a regional warehouse delivering to the end customer/user, and paying the supplier/distributor.

Health Shared Services BC is committed to physician participation in the decision-making process for the procurement of clinical supplies and medical equipment. Bringing peer groups together, standardizing product catalogues,
developing product evaluation criteria and contract award recommendations will ensure that the products BC Health Shared Services purchases and delivers to our clients meet the needs of both clinicians and patients across the province.
