HSSBC Vendor Guidelines
HSSBC requires all vendors to adhere to HSSBC’s Code of Business Conduct as described in these Guidelines. HSSBC strives to exercise the highest standards of conduct in dealing with vendors and expects its vendors to use these same high standards when conducting business with HSSBC. HSSBC reserves the right to revise its Code of Business Conduct and these Guidelines from time to time in its usual course of business.
Note: Failure to comply with these Guidelines may result in the removal of all privileges for the Vendor representative.
Purpose of Guidelines
- To establish guidelines with respect to vendor representatives and how they conduct themselves in doing business with HSSBC and the health authority hospitals,
- To assure appropriate identification of vendor representatives visiting any health authority hospital,
- To enforce protocols of engagement prior to the introduction of products, equipment and/or services at the health authority hospitals,
- To provide guidelines for physicians and staff when interacting with vendor representatives thereby minimizing the interruption of patient care and staff productivity, and
- As a mechanism of enforcement for these guidelines.
Role of Supply Chain
HSSBC Supply Chain will be the primary contact for all Vendor Representatives wishing to trial, solicit and or negotiate proposals to supply goods and or services to the BC health authorities. As a principal responsibility, HSSBC Supply Chain will facilitate the selection of medical, non-medical, pharmaceutical, facilities and IMIS vendors through fair, equitable and transparent business processes.
Hours of Operation
HSSBC business hours are from 07:30 to 15:30 unless prior arrangements are made with the facility’s designated representatives and Supply Chain.
